Well today didnt go as planned at all!
1) At breakfast I noticed that our Aerospace/Mathis teamate Mike (Micro) Lange who cant be more than 5-3 and about 120lbs eats more than Dave Wenger and I combined....I think he could be the hot dog eating world champion if he applied himself.
2) After yesterday My legs actually didnt feel too bad.....actually when I woke up this morning I noticed there were new veins sticking out of my thighs.....scarey!
3) 5 min before the start Scott Walters (thank you Scott!) points out that there is a large scratch by the BB of my Bianchi XL carbon, upon further inspection apparetnly its completely crack, bad! I dont know my own power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4) 4 min before the start I get to neutral service, show them the bike and the tell me not to ride it
5) the size me up on a 54 cm Klein with campy and a womans saddle, keep in mind i have never ridden an ALU frame, Campy, or a WOMENS SADDLE!!!!!!
6) after pedal switch and the start delayed about 3 min we get things going, thanks to the very very VERY great Altoona staff I was able to start!!!!!
7) after 1 of 3 of the 20 mile laps I realize I actually dont feel too bad, and more importantly the bike actually fits, an act of God. no joke. on the finishing lap I make sure to stay in teh front group and not get caught in any slpits and actually roll in for a top 30ish finish, not bad considering everything.
8) i get back to the Campy neutral support tent to find out they were making bets as to how far I would stay in the race from the neutral support car.....I think I lost some buys some $! amazing.
9) Now I have to finish Altoona on a Neural support bike, I think Its going to be OK.......But what I know is Im going to RIDE THAT KLEIN LIKE I STOLE IT!

* thanks to everyone who has sent me emails this week, Im feeling good and hope to keep things up as long as possible, the support helps alot! thanks again!
