A great race overall but it was a little warm. Tom P. and I entered the woods in 3rd and 4th places with a huge pack behind us. We finally caught the leader on the last climb before pavement to the finish. I barely held off Tom for my first win of the season. Great job to everyone else on the team that made it out.

Really fun race! 50+ in our wave start. 4th into the woods after the gravel road start, right behind Tony. 1st place guy dropped off due to a mechanical, and the new 1st place guy pulled a pretty good gap. Rode with Tony in sight most of the race, caught up to him with ~6miles left, then we caught the 1st place rider with ~4 left. The 3 of us exited the woods together and the 1st place rider was blown up so we ditched him and raced to the finish. Didn't have enough to outsprint Tony.... I'm happy with how I rode but kicking myself that I didn't have more to try and win it.

HOT, I got into the woods in about 5th place out of a large combined field and was working hard to catch the 4 leaders; to no avail. Had a slight mishap and went off the trail and got passed by 3 or 4 more riders. Fortunately one that passed was Tingley and I caught back on his wheel. He drug me around the first lap (thanks Dave) and I tried to hammer the second. Wound up picking a few guys off and finished 4th. Badass of the day goes to Tom Morris for gashing his knee open and still finishing. He hung out and stopped for stitches on the way home. Lots of BRCR showed for the event, so the post race was most enjoyable.

It was an hot and muggy day @ Lake Hope. Nice field big of racers from WV and OH. Was 4th into the woods and after 17 miles that included flat tire, a gashed knee (requiring 8 stitches) and no water for the second half of the race I emerged in 4th place. The post race re-hydration process was fun too. Heck, they even had a wedding during the awards between 2 racers... this race had it all. Good work goes out to the all Roasters who made it out.

Crazy Hot, but good time had by all! I think we had about 10 BRCR guys there. Course had some fun sections that I would like to hit another time when I'm not sucking wind! Hopefully I'll keep improving my times and keep creeping up the points board.

Bummer! I just read the results of the race and I was 9th and not 10th, and I can't edit my result on ridenet... Man, and less than a minute behind "Ruby" Rubel! I think I'm going to go ride right now!!

Ah ha, figured it out! Delete race, re-input race!
