Fun race! Rough start, wrong gear to start race and foot came out of clips. Had to run/push to get going! Fell to back of field, worked my way back up through the field on the road and hit the single track about mid pack. Passed a ton of people in the woods, but spent way to much energy chasing down the leaders. I actually moved into second about 6 miles in, but was spent on second to last major hill. (have I ever mentioned I hate to climb) Dropped back to fourth in class and finished 7th overall in the novice race! On the bright side, I went back out and did 10 more miles to finish off the great day!
